Fear is the Master is a 1983 documentary by Cynthia Connop.
Starring Osho.
Exists as a Censored Version and an Uncensored Version. Summary Notes In this hard-hitting cinematic document,
ex-followers reveal secrets of life under the domination of India's infamous free sex guru, Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, self-proclaimed God of the Universal. We see how Rajneesh combines an eerie charisma with scientific mind control techniques to make his
disciples psychically dependent on him. For the guru, this web of control means a regal lifestyle (he had nearly a hundred Rolls-Royces at his disposal). But for his followers, called sannyasins, living in the shadow of the Master means giving up family
ties, working eighteen hours a day, seven days a week, for no pay and always being available to satisfy the sexual whims of the gurus hierarchy. Wielding millions of dollars with an iron fist, Rajneesh and his henchmen built a 100 square-mile separate
state in rural Oregon, U.S.A. complete with a highly armed sannyasin security force. Like the tragic residents of Jonestown, the inhabitants of Rancho Rajneesh were taught to fear law enforcement ...

helped the people in China regain their pride in the early 20th century when China was intimidated and humiliated by the growing Western and Japanese powers.
In Fearless Jet Li has shown his best performance since Once Upon A Time In
China and the fight scenes (choreographed by Yuen Woo Ping) are all fantastic, sometimes visceral, and sometimes graceful, and always powerful. Good and smooth editing and gorgeous production designs also help greatly to create the background.

- Pardon Me But Your Teeth are in my Neck
The Fearless Vampire Killers is a 1967 UK comedy horror by Roman Polanski. Starring Jack MacGowran, Roman Polanski and Alfie Bass.
Heavily shortened in the US for the original theatrical release. Cut in the
UK for an 'A' rated cinema release in 1967. Uncut and 15 rated for VHS in 1986 but 12 rated since 1995. US home video releases are uncut and MPAA Unrated. Summary Review: Jokes and Atmosphere The film
perfectly captures the atmosphere of a snow- covered Transylvania, plagued by the sinister menace of an evil that the locals would rather keep under wraps. When the hapless Alfred (Roman Polanski) and his master Professor Abronsius (Jack MacGowran)
arrive at an inn for the night, they stumble upon a community reluctant to discuss their embarrassing secret. The exaggeratedly Jewish local innkeeper Shagal (played brilliantly by Alfie Bass) does his best to feign ignorance, as
nearly all of the villagers clam up tight, but the game is afoot. Add to the recipe the beautiful innkeeper's daughter (the simply lovely Sharon Tate) with whom Alfred falls instantly in love, and the scene is set for a wonderful tale of good over evil
in the twilight world of the un-dead. There are many subtle jokes along the way, as well as some very obvious slapstick, but the lair of the vampires is truly menacing and with a haunting score to emphasise the plot, this film
simply works on many levels.

Alfred was added. This was done by producer Martin Ransohoff without Roman Polanski's approval. Other edits included the shortening of the trip to Krolock's castle, the shots of Shagal watching the maid cleaning the floor as he stomps the sauerkraut, and
Alfred searching for the mysterious voice in the castle corridors. Upon seeing this American version, Polanski tried to have his name removed from the credits.

IMDb : Eurotrash On the surface, this looks like one of those erotic 60s art-house flicks which were imported by American entrepreneurs solely for their sex
content. It even possesses the de rigueur subtext exposing the moneyed class for its decadence and its exploitation of the naive masses. However, it's all a scam -- it was intentionally made in Puerto Rico by these self-same American entrepreneurs to
resemble a European flick -- and quite successfully so. The film is well enough constructed and filmed to be watchable, with plenty of nudity, though it's overly melodramatic and dully predictable for long stretches. As
well, there are a couple of psychedelic sequences for Swinging Sixties buffs. The star Angelique is quite a dish and is not averse to shedding her threads at the least provocation. At the same time, the filmmakers strive to offend conservative viewers
(in true pseudo-Euro style) by including a lascivious hypocritical priest among the sordid proceedings, by using a soda bottle as an erotic device, and by being a bit unsubtle about Angelique's relationship with her housecat. |

Cut by the BBFC for 18 rated VHS releases but 18 uncut since 2007 DVD. Uncut and NC-17 rated in the US. Summary Notes The life and times of Dawn Davenport, showing her progress from
loving schoolgirl to crazed mass murderer - all of which stems from her parents' refusal to buy her cha-cha heels for Christmas. She runs away from home, is raped, becomes a single mother, criminal and glamorous model before her inevitable rendezvous
with the electric chair... It is occasionally vulgar but all for good measure and although gross out, it has a hard impact that makes you feel for the characters...and what characters they are, Aunt Ida is scene stealing.
It's basically a really dirty Carry On movie...only far classier...and arguably more enjoyable... It may offend some people. A genuinely great film from the Pope of Trash John Waters who has to be one of my favourite
directors due to him taking the piss out of everyday life and pushing humor beyond the boundaries.

Banned by the BBFC for 1975 cinema release Summary review from
IMDB: Atmosphere of strangeness In 1968 and 1969, Amando Bo and Isabel Sarli produced their three masterpieces: Carne , Fuego y Fiebre , three films that are unique in the world, three films
that influenced John Waters big time and were a clear precedent to his revolutionary work. Fiebre is an amazing piece of experimental film-making. The idea is Isabel falls in love with a horse . An so we see shots of
her touching her breast over imposed with shots of the horse's organ for an hour nd a half. It sounds boring. It's not. Bo's movies have an atmosphere of strangeness. They deserve a place in film history.

As though enough pretty young women to fill a stadium haven't already been murdered in these films, a young man under the influence of a religious cult goes on a rampage of 'redemption,' murdering countless -- what else? -- young
women. Something of a minor horror that is watchable rather than notable. The cinematic style has been likened to the British sex comedies of the time. Patrick Magee provides couple of plus points for the film.

From IMDb. Comparison of Derann video with uncut version shown on BBC in 2001:
- The opening murder in the BBC version includes a more prolonged strangulation scene, as well as some further nudity as Kenny strips his dead victim (Janette Wild). There's also the sight of him removing a watch and necklace from the naked corpse,
adding a (slightly out of place) petty criminal element to Kenny's religiously motivated crimes.
- The title scenes are slightly different, the BBC version plays the title over a still shot of the killer's boots (the rest of the credits appear the
same way). The Derann version plays the title over a blue box background.
- When Kenny first plays the audio tapes back of his killings there is some cutaways to historical torture paintings. The older Derann version includes two brief shots of
the same painting, the BBC version contains the same two shots but lingers on them a little longer and goes on to another shot of a second (more graphic) painting.
- The murder of the prostitute (Terry Quinlan) in toned down in the Derann version
(she's beaten around the head off-screen). The BBC version however includes some nasty shots of Kenny ramming his torch into the girl's mouth. Her death from being beaten around the head is no longer shown totally off-screen in the BBC version either.
- The following scene where Quinlan's body is discovered in cement, is different in the two versions. The BBC version represents this scene with two shots of nudity (the actress obviously found it hard to hold her breath). The Derann version
represents it with an odd, (still photograph?) close-up on the girl's face.
- The last difference is to the 'meat-hook scene' where one of Kenny's victims (Suzanna East) initially drowned is discovered hanging on a meat hook. Both versions play
the discovery slightly different, the Derann version includes a brief shot of the girl on the meat hook as well as a second shot that zooms in on the dead girls face. The BBC version begins with an additional long shot of the dead girl, and ends on a
second shot, that's actually the first shot we see of the body in the Derann version but is more drawn out. The zoom shot from the Derann version isn't included in the BBC version.

I saw this in the theaters when it first came out in the 80s, not expecting much, but then - BAM! - this nasty little gem of a thriller delivers thrills in spades. JOHN GLOVER creates one of the most
chilling, yet hilarious, villains in film history - and the film's most infamous sequence - the videotape replay of Cindy's snuff-movie murder that Glover forces Scheider to watch in horror SITTING THE SAME CHAIR WHERE SHE WAS KILLED! - still never fails

Film No.4 is a 1966 UK short by Anthony Cox, Yoko Ono Starring Susannah Campbell, Philip Corner and Anthony Cox
Banned by the BBFC for cinema release in 1966. Later passed X uncut by the Greater London
Council (GLC) and U uncut by Birmingham Council. Censorship History See article from reprobatepress.com
: Yoko Ono's experimental film from 1966 consists entire of close-up shots of male and female buttocks, as the people involved walk backwards to the camera and the soundtrack plays the thoughts of the participants. Part of the
problem was that the film occasionally afforded glimpses of male or female genitalia, seen from behind. These glimpses were hardly explicit. The film was intended to be shown at the Albert Hall as part of a collection of
avant-garde filmmaking. Any exposure would have been projected at a vast size, and the event was likely to attract the press, looking for films to both scoff at and be outraged by. Film censor John Trevelyan reverted to type, and so the film was rejected
with the suggestion that it be submitted to the GLC instead, who approved it without concerns, though still with an X rating So Number Four and the other films eventually played in a Charing Cross Road cinema club to a small but
appreciative audience. The film was never resubmitted to the BBFC. Perhaps the most sensible decision on the film came from Birmingham council, who passed this innocuous and harmless film with a U certificate.
Summary Notes
This film consists entirely of close ups of famous persons' bottoms. Ono meant it to encourage a dialogue for world peace.

review from IMDb : Underrated and unnoticed This film tends to touch base
on issues in several other of his films. In Vixen , the issue was marital bliss and touched on the concept of partner swapping. A similar notion is touched on in Finders Keepers in marital fidelity, and promoting the concept that no one
goes unpunished. It contains the nudity and light humor of his other flicks. It's not one of his more known films, but is worth checking out even if only once. The movie actually has a good plot to it, with senses of

street gangs have their own city zones where cops can't go. Two tough cops are sent undercover in one of them to investigate an illegal cure for AIDS. But they must first fight in a deathmatch, and the match is fixed. Firepower
is one of those cheesy martial art movies that tries to take place in the future and the result is even more cheesiness that is just a 1980's looking future. But not all is lost. There are plenty of fights in this film, and it stars familiar faces
Chad Mcqueen and Gary Daniels. The fights are really the only decent thing about Firepower . If you are into underground cage fighting with weapons and screaming spectators, this is that kind of movie. None of the
fights are exceptional, but most are good and solid for a martial arts film. Gary Daniels is definitely more skilled in Firepower than Chad Mcqueen.

Spoiled US President's son slips away to a shopping mall to meet a mentally disturbed villain with a gun. The BBFC found this confrontation too violent for the target audience and extensively re-edited the scene with the following justification:
First Kid had to be cut to reduce the sense of threat as the hero was subjected to a psychotic gun attack in a shopping mall. The terrorisation of a
child character in a conventially safe environment was felt to be a violation of trust, as was the unexpected onset of violence so close to the end of the film.
Thanks to Ben. the BBFC cuts
list reads: Considerably reduce violence and terror in shopping mall when secret service man Simms is trying to rescue First Kid Luke from former secret service man Woods, as follows:
- At 87 mins When Woods says stand aside after initial confrontation, remove close-up of boy's frightened face pleading help me, help me, resuming on Simms saying He's just a kid man; then, after Woods tries to drag Lukeaway,
remove second close-up of frightened boy and shot of Simms reacting, resuming on Woods pulling boy's coat.
- At 87œ mins After close-up of Simms following them, remove entire assault by Woods on man in wheelchair,
resuming on Woods turning to camera with gun.
- After crowd panics and Woods threatens Simms who backs away, remove repeated threats with gun and build-up of panic as Luke becomes more terrified, resuming on close-up
of Woods with Simms telling him to calm down.
- At 88 œ mins After Simms says you don't want to shoot anybody, remove shot of boy's frightened face, resuming on Woods saying Yeah; then remove next close-up of boy
pleading please, please, please and shot of Woods saying I do. resuming on boy shouting No!
- When Woods fires at Simms, who dives for cover, reduce gunfire by cutting away after gobstoppers fall from broken glass
ball, resuming on Simms lying on floor saying I feel like I'm working at the post office.
- At 89œ mins When the two men fight over empty gun, remove all sight of Simms being kicked in the head, resuming on him getting
up from the floor.
- After Woods hits head on pillar, remove punch to his face and kick to his stomach, resuming on wide shot of punch that knocks Woods into fountain.
- At 90 mins
After boy screams Simms! when gun is pointed at him, reduce lengthy build-up of fear as Simms runs to save boy, resuming on Woods pointing gun at boy.
- At 90œ mins After mid shot of boy panicking, (1) reduce close
side view of gun by removing most of shot and resuming to see it fire; (2) then remove entire shot looking down gun barrel as bullet comes straight to camera, resuming on panning shot of Simms running (vision only); and (3) remove frontal shot of Luke as
bullet travels straight towards him, resuming on low angle shot of glass roof as Simms leaps across frame to take the bullet.
- After secret service man fires at Woods, reduce long shot of him swaying from bullet
impact, resuming on him falling into fountain.

Fist of Fury is a 1972 Hong Kong martial arts film by Wei Lo. With Bruce Lee, Nora Miao and James Tien.
UK cinema and VHS releases were cut by the BBFC. Uncut on 18 rated DVD in
2001 and for a 15 rated cinema release in 2023. The film was banned in Finland until 2001. Summery Review : Don't miss this DVD Chen Chen returns to the international compound of China only to learn of
his beloved teacher's death. This is compounded by the continual racist harassment by the Japanese population in the area. Unlike his friends, he confronts it head on with his mastery of martial arts while investigating his teacher's murder.
The Bruce Lee film is famous for its legendary first nunchaku fight scene at the Japanese' training camp as Bruce shows for the first time his personal fighting tool and weapon, a pair of nunchakus. That fight scene even before
nunchakus is among the greatest ever filmed since the choreography and timing is totally marvellous as the one take lasts very long without edits, and Bruce kicks and hits about ten victims during that, and the timing and stunt men had to be really sharp
in order to not to get hurt for real. Also, the nunchaku fights in the film are incredible as Bruce uses his weapon without flinching an eye and with fierce look on his face. This all is even more powerful in his next film, Way of the Dragon.

Flavia the Heretic is a 1974 Italy/France horror drama by Gianfranco Mingozzi. With Florinda Bolkan, María Casares and Claudio Cassinelli.
Cut by the BBFC for cinema release and VHS. Uncut on DVD in UK and US
Summary Notes Italy 1600: A convent of nuns are invaded by the Tarantula Sect on their annual pilgrimage. The cultists defile the place of worship, orgying in the chapel and desecrating the altar. One
nun decides she can't take the religious oppression any longer and flees the convent upset that all the leaders are male. Flavia the Heretic is different from other exploitation films. Instead of being gore
and sex hidden under a thin shroud of message, Flavia the Heretic has a legitimate message (absurd as it might be at times), but gets grouped in with the sex and gore movies that the Italians are so famous for.
The movie is more than
nunsploitation. None of the scenes are all that violent. Movies like Behind Convent Walls were certainly more sexually graphic and dwelt much longer on the sex scenes in attempt to make the erotic. No such attempts were made in this movie.

- The Fiendish Ghouls
The Flesh and the Fiends is a 1960 UK horror by John Gilling. With Peter Cushing, June Laverick and Donald Pleasence.
The film was originally made with 2 variants, cut nudity for the UK and
uncut for the continent. The UK Version was further cut for a 1960 X rated cinema release. This cut UK version was later 12 rated for 2012 DVD. The film was released in the US in a shorter version titled The Fiendish Ghouls. Summary Review:
Obscure masterpiece This film deals with the infamous exploits of grave-robbers Burke & Hare, and the university professor surgeon Dr. Knox. This is exploitative macabre
melodrama, more than a horror film; though it is more gruesome and horrific than other films of the terror genre. This is still intense viewing today, the performances of George Rose as Burke, and Donald Pleasence as Hare,
are superb, powerful & really scary, if there is anything funny about them, it is the darkest of comedy. Peter Cushing is fine as Knox (NB. Cushing is not the principal protagonist, the film revolves on several characters) the quality of the
remaining cast vary, but at worst they are theatrical; which by no means mar the film. The cinematography is first rate, and any Hammer fans amongst you might agree that the director John Gilling, who co-scripted it, never
made anything else quite like this. Continental Version

topless in the continental version (but clothed in the UK print). The Continental print also features a couple of unique shots preceding this of topless revelry.
The BBFC then cut some violent scenes:
- The murder of the old woman is slightly differently edited and more explicit in the Continental print (additional close-ups of her being smothered by Hare's hand).
- The murder of Daft Jamie is slightly extended and more violent
- The
Continental version has a close-up of Burke's face when he is hanged which is missing from the UK print.

A very good film from the Warhol/Morrissey partnership. It features a decent stab at the Frankenstein legend featuring a fair few intentional laughs Udo Kier is astounding as the mad
Baron Frankenstein, Arno Juerging is great as his idiot assistant Otto, and Monique Van Vooren holds her own as Frankenstein's wife-sister, whose insatiable sexual appetite is fed by hunky Joe Dallesandro. The quality
productions values add to the package and it justifiably gets rated as one of the best campy horrors of the time. Versions
